We are proud and excited to announce that Stichting The Power of Sports is preparing to start a new international project in Pokhara, Nepal. This project will be part of our growing network of initiatives aimed at creating meaningful impact through sport — a powerful tool for connection, development, and empowerment.
Just like in our previous projects, the Nepal initiative will be built on our proven structure and philosophy. We focus on providing structural access to sports for children and young people who would otherwise grow up without regular opportunities to play, train, and grow through sport. These are often communities where sport is not part of daily life, due to a lack of resources, infrastructure, or guidance.
Through our programme, we aim to offer weekly sport sessions, led by trained local coaches and supported by our international volunteers and experts. We believe that sport builds confidence, resilience, teamwork, and joy — values that can have a lasting impact on young lives.
In September 2026, our international team will travel to Pokhara to explore the area, meet our local partners, and co-develop the programme with the community. The official start of the project is planned for February 2027, when we will begin offering regular sport activities to local youth.
