Bringing Sport to La Matanza: Help Us Provide the Right Equipment
At The Power of Sports, we’re expanding our reach. Recently, we added a new neighborhood to our program: La Matanza in Argetina. It’s an area where many children and young people don’t have access to regular sports activities. That’s something we want to change.
To run our program properly in this new location, we need to purchase extra sports equipment. This includes basic and versatile items that allow us to offer a wide range of activities:
Materials we’re looking to buy:
30 flat cones
20 traffic cones (15–20 cm)
30 hoops
30 handballs
10 rubber balls
5 footballs
Foam padding
1 thick rope (10 meters)
15 volleyballs
2 canvas bags for storage
Ball pump
Elastic resistance bands
Without these materials, we won’t be able to offer our activities at the same level we do in other neighborhoods.
Why It Matters
Sport plays an important role in the development of young people. It improves health, teaches teamwork, and provides structure. In La Matanza, structured sport is not a given. With this equipment, we can give more children the opportunity to take part in regular, supervised sports lessons.
How You Can Help
We are looking for support — through (structural) donations, sponsoring materials.
