The Team

The team behind The Power of Sports consists of Ruben, Roel, Dion, Wessel, and Rick. Founder Ruben started the charity over ten years ago with the mission to use the power of sport to create a positive impact in the lives of children and youngsters. We launch sports projects around the world, especially in regions where children have little or no access to organised sports.

Over the years, Roel, Dion, Wessel, and Rick have joined as they have experienced the power of sport first hand at one of the projects. After having positive experiences through volunteering and helping set up new projects, they became more deeply involved. With this expanded team, we are now able to take important steps toward further professionalising our charity and increasing our reach, so that even more children around the world can experience the power of sport. Since 2023 we also have brothers and sisters in France, Germany and the UK.
